I'm the Mom who got the priviledges that Kelli has and I wouldn't trade them for all the gold in China. Raising my 6 was tiresome, frightening, educational, and terrific. But I couldn't have done it alone and I waited as anxiously as the kids did for Daddy Bob to come home from his job.And he was as anxious as you are Jared for those dad-offspring moments too. It's called FAMILY.

Funny how we always want more? I envy Ellen spending everyday with her grandsons, yet wonder how does she do it? Jelousy is not always a bad thing, you are blessed, we are all blessed.
Love you, FA Mickey

Jared....I remember the joy of coming home to see you after a day @ the office. And many days I wish I just could have stayed home to experience your new learnings. Life is a balancing act. As long as you keep your priorities your Faith & your Family you will be able to maximize your joyfull experiences. Don't forget the value you bring to your family through your career. Ian will learn over time that when Dad leaves everyday for work it is a Godly act of providing for your family. That learning will serve Ian well when some day he is a Husband & Father. Enjoy the ride! Love, Dad

Yes, you are extremely blessed. And you'll come to see that more everyday. It's just the pits having to earn a living, tho, isn't it?
Now go spell-check "cinnimon" while I grab another espresso.

Jared,
You KNOW you were the first one to get your son to chortle with glee. You were the one to get him to make kissy sounds and love to do the "Hustle." And there is something so precious about a kid who starts talking about da-da at 4:30...just waiting to hear the car drive up so you will be HOME! You are so blessed to have such a special father/son relationship ALREADY!
That's because you're just a great dad!

Oh, this one brought tears, Jared. I know you know it, but you are all so, so lucky Kelly is home. I got almost a year at home with Ryan, and even though he is now 4, I still hate to take him to preschool. Every day I hate it. And Ian is very lucky he has a daddy who knows what he's missing. Most don't, and he'll love you for it (and for everything else!).
